Program name and description

jbmurphy Personal Alerts is a personal SMS notification
service operated by Jeffrey B. Murphy as a sole proprietor. It delivers
automated operational alerts from self-hosted infrastructure to the operator’s
own mobile phone. Examples include software build results, service health
notifications, and calendar reminders.

The program has a single recipient: the account owner. Messages are not sent
to customers, subscribers, or any other person.

How opt-in works

Opt-in is performed by the sole proprietor for his own mobile number. There
is no public-facing signup form because there are no third-party recipients –
the brand owner is the only person who receives messages.

The account owner signs in to the private administrative interface of his
own self-hosted monitoring system.
On the notification settings page he enters his own mobile number into
the SMS destination field.
He saves the setting. Saving records consent and enables delivery; the
stored configuration entry is the consent record.
Delivery stops when the number is removed from that field.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on activity in the monitored systems.
Typically fewer than 10 messages per day.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s
standard rates apply to messages received. This service carries no separate
subscription fee.

Opting out

Reply STOP at any time to cancel. You will receive a single
confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. Delivery can also be
ended by removing the number from the system configuration described above.
